Besides my obvious love affair with music, I have also been heavily involved with athletics since childhood.
In grade school I was awarded a ribbon for Best Boy Athlete at Alice Peck Elementary in
1973
In my youth I was intensely involved with tennis and played from dawn until dark during the spring through fall months.
I began my Track & Field Career at Sleeping Giant Junior High, where I set a high jump record of
5.8' in 1976 and broke the long jump record a year later with a leap of 19.7 3/4'
I also held records in the
220 yard dash in 24.0 and the 440 yard dash in 53.5
At the high school level, I was considered an essential member of the only undefeated Track Team at Hamden High with
14 wins and no losses in 1978
I was the first Sophmore to receive the MVP Trophy, an award that is usually reserved for the most talented senior in
1978

For the first time in the history of Hamden High School the 1980 Track & Field Team won the District League Championships, captured their first Class LL State Track Championship and won their first State Open Crown!

To this day I am very honored to have been a part of the
1978-1980 Track Teams
It was an exciting, rewarding and enlightening time of my life!
